At the close of business on April 30, more than 1,300 alumni had made an unrestricted gift to the College during the month. This is nearly four times the number of donors who gave last April! The munificence of Hamilton graduates in support of current students on the Hill clearly transcends the economic stress we are all experiencing. Colgate had 1,211 donors, more than double their normal total but 97 short of the Hamilton total. Students are the clear winners. Thanks to all of you who help perpetuate the life-changing experiences you knew at Hamilton for today's undergraduates.

The fine print: Because Colgate's alumni body is considerably larger than that of Hamilton and Hamilton alumni give to the Annual Fund at a higher percentage rate than Colgate alumni, we have calculated the following: 0.7 Colgate donor = 1 Hamilton donor.
