A Behind the Scene Look at "Hamilton Collects"

What is your favorite painting?

April 30, 2002  “Hamilton Collects American Art” celebrates the 20th anniversary of the Emerson Gallery.  But it also offers the Hamilton and surrounding communities an extraordinary opportunity to see American art by well-known artists that has rarely, if ever, been viewed publicly. To provide a “behind the scenes” look at some of the preparatory work undertaken for this exhibition, we interviewed Emerson Acting Director Bill Salzillo.  We followed his interview with a cross section of campus responses to the question, “What is your favorite painting in the show?”  For those of you who haven’t been asked but would like to respond, simply go the Emerson page at www.hamilton.edu/gallery and click on “comments” under “Hamilton Collects.”  We would love to hear from you, too. Health Insurance Coverage for Dependent Children Age 19 and Over
The College's group health insurance plan provides coverage for dependent children under age 19 and those between the ages of 19 and 23 who are full-time students.  If you currently are covering a child age 19 or over who will not be a full-time student next fall, please contact Donna Grygiel, ext. 4689.  She can assist you in identifying other coverage options, if needed.  Both health insurance carriers require periodic verification of full-time student status for dependents between the ages of 19 and 23.  If you receive such a questionnaire, please complete and return immediately as failure to do so will result in cancellation of coverage.

Health Insurance Open Enrollment
Individuals may elect a change in their health insurance coverage during the next month, with changes effective July 1, 2002.  Possible changes include transferring from one plan to another (i.e., from Blue PPO to an MVP plan, from MVP 15+ to MVP 20) or from the waiver credit to coverage under one of the plans.  This is also the time eligible dependents not currently covered under the College's health insurance program can be added.
For more information about the available health insurance options, call Donna Grygiel, ext. 4689.  Enrollment material for each of the plans is available in the Personnel Office.
