Finished first in the 1- and 3-meter springboard diving events at the 2006 NCAA Division III men's swimming and diving championships held at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. He won all 16 events in which he competed that season and was the obvious choice for NCAA Division III Diver of the Year. He broke his own 3-meter school record at the NCAA meet and holds the school and NESCAC record for the 1-meter board. Salmon earned a total of seven All-America awards during his brilliant career. He is one of two members of the Hamilton swimming and diving program to make the All-America team all four years of their career.
Cady Kashner '03
Captured first place in the 1-meter springboard diving event at the 2003 NCAA Division III women's swimming and diving championships held at Emory University in Atlanta. She went on to finish in seventh place and earn another All-America award in the 3-meter board. Kashner finished her career with four All-America honors as she landed in the top eight of both events at the 2000 NCAA meet as a first-year diver. She helped the program to its highest NCAA finish ever – 10th place – at the 2000 championships. Her school records in the 1- and 3-meter boards still stand.
Maggie Hanson '02
The most decorated women's cross country/track and field athlete in school history and the first female national champion in any sport. Hanson finished first in the 5,000-meter run at the 2001 NCAA Division III indoor track and field championships held at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. She earned a total of nine All-America awards between cross country, indoor and outdoor track and field. Her first All-America honor came in 1999, when she helped the cross country team finish seventh at the NCAA Division III championships. She still holds six individual program records and is part of two team-record relays.
Jeff Carlberg '75
Grabbed first place in the 100-yard breaststroke at the 1974 and 1975 NCAA men's swimming and diving championships. Carlberg earned a total of six All-America awards from 1973 to 1975. He was an All-American in the College Division for the 100 breast in 1973 and 1974, as well as the 200 breast in 1974. He enjoyed an outstanding performance at the inaugural NCAA Division III meet in 1975. Carlberg won the 100 breast and captured All-America honors for the 200 breast and 400-yard medley relay. Hamilton finished eighth at the NCAA meet that year, which is tied with the 2000 team for the best showing in program history.
Bruce Mohl '68
Finished in first place in the 200-yard backstroke at the 1967 NCAA championships and won the 400-yard individual medley the following year. Mohl was a six-time All-American in the College Division. He posted an incredible performance at the 1967 meet. In addition to the victory in the 200 back, Mohl was runner-up in both the 200 and 400 IM. He was third in the 200 IM in 1968, and eighth in the 200 back. He and Frederick Volp were the first All-Americans in team history.
