A Partnership between the Arthur Levitt Public Affairs Center and
The Women's Fund of Herkimer-Oneida Counties.
Older Women Caregivers - What Do We Know? is a report done by the Levitt Center for the Women's Fund of Herkimer-Oneida Counties. The report brings together the research completed by students in a Women and Aging course taught by Professor Margaret Gentry (Womens Studies) during spring 2007 and 2008.
Students interviewed older women caregivers in the two counties, and a report was written and edited by Judith Owens-Manley, Ph.D., Associate Director for Community Research in the Levitt Center and Aileen Townsend, D.P.A., Chair of the Status of Women committee with the Women's Fund. Kari Arenson ('08) provided a literature review for the report.
Older Women Caregivers continues a seven year relationship between the Levitt Center and the Women's Fund that has resulted in several reports on the Status of Women in Herkimer and Oneida Counties. The full report may be viewed here. Older Women Caregivers - What Do We Know?
