A&E brings you Deathcage!

by Kevin O'Connor '09

Have you ever thought, I wonder "who would win in a fight: Kevin from "Home Alone" or Elián Gonzalez?  Could the Arbiter from Halo beat fashion magnate Mugatu? At the Spectator, we spend a great deal of time thinking about these things (can you say that Yale Daily News?  I didn't think so).   But despite what has probably amounted to years of contemplation and discourse, we have not yet reached firm conclusions on these matters.      This year's Super Bowl commercials were everything you could possibly want—beer, chips, soda, lingerie, and…giant carrier pigeons? Don't even lie, you only watch the game for the commercials. Below is a list of the top five ads of this year, according to USA Today's ratings list. More. . .

The Real Rave Playlist... for
Your Personal Dance Party

by Lauren Moon '09
and Melissa Balding '09

We all know that everyone could use a couple more tunes to add to their dance-tastic playlist. Because let's face it, Soulja Boy is really getting old and the Spice Girls were never okay. Everything here is modern, unpolished, wacky, but surprisingly catchy. A lot like you dancing in the ELS basement. Unlike the aforementioned, none of these songs have preconceived dance steps, but feel free to create your own. More. . .
