Mars Volta - The Bedlam in Goliath

    How many progressive rock bands can say they're a mixture of funk metal, psychedelic, jazz, electronica, salsa, and punk? You now know of at least one. A band that could easily be described as the black of music, Mars Volta's meshing of almost every genre created doesn't produce the giant contradiction one would expect. The range of styles used in a single song can make it seem like you're listening to a symphony packed full of diverse and exciting movements. More. . .
 

Buffers Ignite My Valentine's Day

    At 6:21 AM last Valentine's Day, I was awoken to the sound of about 15 guys harmonizing outside my bedroom door. I soon came to realize it was the Buffers singing Boyz II Men's "I'll Make Love to You" to my suitemate, a little surprise from her boyfriend. Smart choice, Buddy. You spent five dollars to serenade her with a song like that and I'm sure you probably got whatever you wanted from her that night. Gentlemen, follow this guy's lead. More. . .
