Men's Swimming and Diving Eighth in NESCAC Championships

Three Swimmers Will Advance to NCAA Championships

    The Hamilton Men's Swimming and Diving Team traveled to Middlebury over the leap-weekend to compete in the NESCAC Championship.  The competitors brought along not just the power and intensity that has characterized their season, but also a gaggle of cheering supporters and teammates.  The team placed eighth overall in the competition, and several swimmers qualified for the NCAA Championships.     As the Continentals wrapped up their season this past weekend, the team returned to Hamilton College distraught and disappointed.  Who wouldn't be?  They had just lost their second Liberty League Championship in a row to the Clarkson Golden Sallies whom they had beaten earlier in the month.  In 2007, the Conts lost to St. Lawrence in Scott Fieldhouse with Tsakane Ngobeni's last second shot attempt rattled in and out of the hoop.     The squash season concluded last weekend when four members from Hamilton went to compete at a national individual championships meet.  The men's squad sent John DeWitt '09 and Ben Clayman '11 and the women's team sent Kelly Whipple '10 and Krissy Rubin '10.  These four competitors put up a great effort in their bid to bring home some victories. Relay Teams Qualify for the ECAC Championships

    With the season coming to a close, Hamilton's Men and Women Track and Field Teams looked to end their season as strongly as they have competed all year. The final team event of the winter season, the New York State Collegiate Track Conference Championships at St. Lawrence University, took place on February 29 and March 1, and the Continentals once again proved that they could compete with the best teams in the state.
