30 Rock returns, as writer's strike ends

With the end of the writer's strike, everyone's favorite TV shows return to the airwaves. Many college students get excited about the new episodes of Lost, Grey's Anatomy, House, and The Office. A relatively new addition to NBC's impeccable Thursday night lineup of sitcoms (including My Name is Earl, The Office, and the final season of Scrubs) is Tina Fey's brainchild sitcom entitled 30 Rock. The show debuted on October 11, 2006 and is currently broadcasting its second season. Tina Fey is the executive producer of the show as well as its main character, the all-too-human Liz Lemon. Deathcage Sweet Sixteen!

Harlem Blues and Jazz Band visits Hamilton

This past Sunday afternoon the Harlem Blues and Jazz band performed at the Hamilton College Events Barn, to the delight of many students and faculty members. Deemed the "World's Most Authentic Swing Band," the Harlem Blues and Jazz band been together since 1973 when Hamilton's tuition bill, according to founder Al Vollmer '51, was less than one thousand dollars per semester. Vollmer founded this esteemed band with the mindset that jazz and blues from the 20's and 30's should not be slowly forgotten as time goes on. More. . . |

Summer to be stacked with new movies

Movie-goers will be in for a treat this summer, as many highly anticipated films will be released across the country. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, slated to open on May 22, 2008, will start off the summer season with a crack of a whip. Harrison Ford plans on pleasing fans of the series, which hasn't surfaced since 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Though Ford will be the main attraction and ticket-seller, new cast-members include Cate Blanchett, who will play "Agent Irina Spalko," and young actor Shia LaBeouf. LaBeouf has been busy in the film industry as of late, appearing in movies such as Transformers and Disturbia. More. . . |
