Nicholas Tampio researches the legacy of the Enlightenment in contemporary political theory and teaches classical, modern, contemporary, American and global political theory. He has published in The Journal of Politics, Political Theory, Polity, PS: Political Science and Politics and Theory & Event. Currently, he is writing a book manuscript examining how Rawls and Deleuze exercise Kantian courage. He earned his doctorate from Johns Hopkins University and has previously taught at George Mason University and the University of Virginia, where he also served as the assistant editor of Political Theory.
