Useful Links

Prepare for your semester in New York by learning about the city. The links below will give you some tips on city living and help you plan your New York semester.

Transportation

Find subway and bus maps, information about fares, schedules, and other useful information at the Metropolitan Transport Authority.

Library Facilities

The New York City apartments have broadband, and you will have remote access to Hamilton's on-line library resources while in New York.

The New York Public Libraries can also be a great resource. Use their public reading rooms to study or write, or get your own library card and check out books. You'll need proof a residence to get a card, so be sure to take an envelope addressed to you at your New York City address.

Safety

Think like a New Yorker and be safe as you move about the city. The New York Police Department and the New York Safety and Survival Guide offer tips for safe city living.
