Equipment ListCanoeing and Sea Kayaking Unless specified, all the gear listed here is essential and required. In remote settings, your safety and comfort depend on being properly equipped. We must insist that you bring everything on the list, whether you're a first time camper or an old hand. If you have any questions about anything on this list, please do not hesitate to phone Andrew Jillings or one of the interns at 315-859-4272. We recommend that you pack all these items in a soft duffel, although we will lend you drybags for your trip, so really what you put your stuff in is only to keep it together while you move in. The packing arrangements can seem overly complex, but don't get discouraged! When you arrive you can move all your worldly goods for the entire year into your permanent room. You will stay there for Friday and Saturday nights prior to your trip, and when you get return. The trip list gear goes in your bag and the pre/post list gear in your duffel. The duffel gets sent ahead to meet you at your ropes course site (see detailed schedule). Got it? Trip packing list (this will all end up in one of our dry bags-pack in a duffel)No cotton (except maybe t-shirts and underwear)!
* Adirondack Adventure has a small number of these items for loan. Please fill out your equipment request form and return it with your medical and release forms (for a complete list of forms, please refer to The Nitty Gritty). Optional items for trip packing list
