Senior week training interrupted the photojournalism (not to mention the sun didn't shine for ten days...) so week four is really the fifth week of construction. Still, it's pretty exciting to see how much has been done. The sub structure of the deck is in, a door is hung, and drywall is happening at dizzying speed. Click on an image for a bigger picture  Here's the view from the great room through the door to the deck. I thought that if we wanted a true 'adventure centre' we should leave the deck as it is, but I was outvoted.  A little hard to see, but there are steps in the foreground leading up to the deck. The brown wall is waterproofing, and siding will go on top soon.  It's tough to get all four legs on the joists, so Indie sticks to the metal plank. In the background you can see how the deck goes round the crabapple trees.  The Great Room got more lights, and wiring for cable and data.  A long view of the back. |
