The Nitty Gritty

The dates for 2009 are; Participants arrive Friday 14 August and return on the 21st. Orientation begins the next day.

How Does Registration Work?

All incoming first-year and transfer students receive a registration form through the mail in May. If you want to go on AA, complete the form and send it back to us. There is also online registration, which will become available at the same time.

This year's registration form must be received by June 13. Confirmation will be mailed around June 23. In the event that Adirondack Adventure is oversubscribed, we will choose participants by lottery on June 17.

Once you've been accepted to the program, you will receive a second packet with all the necessary forms and information, including which trip you're on. Complete the forms and send them back to us by July 24th. These forms must include a liability release form, the medical release form, and an equipment request form. (online registrants will have done these forms already)

If you have any trouble downloading the documents using the links above, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Equipment

What equipment you need to bring depends on what trip you end up joining. Once we've contacted you to let you know which trip you're on, you can check the specific equipment requirements for that adventure. You can view the lists online by selecting one of the links below, or choose to download it as a pdf.

We found a nifty site on Youtube that tells you about fitting boots.

There's also a page that explains the equipment on this list in more detail, which you can find on the left column of this one, called 'the equipment list explained'.
