Class of 2008 Report
This Career Outcomes report, for the Hamilton College Class of 2008, represents the ninth such survey in a row undertaken by staff of the Career Center. This year, our report took much longer to complete as we encountered difficulty in reaching our minimum goal of 80+% participation from the class. However, our final results track 371 of the 440 members for a response rate of 84%. We began collecting data in late May of 2008 and reached our participation goal in late May of 2009.
All results contained in this report reflect the responses of the 371 members (84%) of the class that replied to the survey. All percentages included refer to the response group and not to the total class size of 440.
As usual, our report begins with a summary section giving an overview of the entire Class. That is followed, in turn, by reports on students that accepted employment opportunities, top geographic location choices, those that pursued graduate school positions, and finally those that accepted a postgraduate fellowship or scholarship award.
This report also includes data from our surveys taken over the past six years tracking the Classes of 2003 through 2008. The tables reveal the differences in the overall record of these five classes, and trends in top employment categories.
This report is compiled each year by the Career Center staff. If you have questions about this information feel free to contact us.
