Spring Volunteer Weekend

April 9-12, 2015

Join us on College Hill for this cornerstone volunteer event. Re-engage with your friends, hone your volunteer skills and reinvent the way you relate to Hamilton during this Friday/Saturday conference.

In addition to Alumni and Parents Advisory Council meetings, weekend highlights include:

  • Volunteer education: Whether you’ve been making Annual Fund calls for ages or are a new parent Welcome Caller you are sure to benefit from small group discussions of best practices.
  • Presentations by campus leaders: You’ve heard that Hamilton has been named a “Changemaker” campus, but what does that mean? You’ll understand as you learn about some of Hamilton’s newest initiatives.
  • Opportunities to engage with students: All volunteer activities ultimately benefit students. Come meet and interact with some of the remarkable young men and women who call Hamilton home today.

2015 Distinguished Service Award

Sam Pellman, professor of music, is the 2015 Distinguished Service Award recipient. Sam will be honored on Friday, April 10 during the Spring Volunteer Weekend Recognition dinner.

Presented by the Alumni Council on behalf of the Hamilton College Alumni Association, the Distinguished Service Award recognizes an employee who has substantially contributed to Hamilton through distinguished job performance and through involvement in student, alumni or other activities in the College community.
