All-Kirkland Reunion Afterglow

The Campus was buzzing with green hardhats as Kirkland alumnae returned to the Hill for Reunions '07. The All-Kirkland Reunion was the largest gathering of Kirkland alumnae to date with 231 alumnae, faculty and friends of Kirkland in attendance. The weekend began with a poetry and fiction reading: Kirkland Voices followed by a dinner at the home of Woody Root K'72. Other reunion highlights included the groundbreaking for the Kirner-Johnson renovation and expansion and the unveiling of the Kirkland Archive Display, the Kirkland Alumnae Art Exhibit: Inspirations, KirklandMarks a self guided tour to commemorate historic Kirkland College activities, A Little Reading, A Little Talk with Natalie Babbitt and an All-Kirkland reunion conversation led by Kirkland College President Samuel Fisher Babbitt which began with a showing of Indomitable Spirits: The Road Less Taken, an audio/visual presentation on Kirkland College and its people. The weekend was rounded out by a theatrical performance series of under-10-minute plays written by Kirkland and Hamilton women and read by alumni and alumnae titled Kirkland Echoes. And lets not forget the Reunions '07 Keynote Lecture with Christie K'72, P'00 and Tom '72, P'00 Vilsack. It was a terrific weekend as the energy and excitement that was Kirkland was once again experienced by all who returned to the Hill for Reunions '07.
