Class of 2009 Senior Gift

What is it?

The Class of 2009 Community Service Memorial Prize: Established by the Class of 2009 in memory of their classmates Katharine Eckman and Andrew Sheridan, who dedicated themselves so nobly to community service, this scholarship will be awarded annually to a Hamilton student who performs significant and substantial community service (as determined by the appropriate campus offices) in and around the Clinton, NY area.

2009: A Remarkable Year

The Class of '09 continued the tradition of over 90% participation rates from years past as the 2009 Senior Gift Campaign came to an end at the close of Hamilton's 2009 fiscal year. Thanks to a generous $10,000 Challenge from the Board of Trustees, generous gifts from parents and friends, and, of course, the exceptional generosity of members of the Class of '09, the Senior Gift Campaign was one of the most successful in College history.

Final 2009 Senior Gift Statistics

94.5% (446 members) of the class participated;
$8,565.83 contributed by 2009;
Earned an additional $10,000 in challenge money;
Average gift of $19.20 per senior (highest average gift ever);
$36.790.89 raised in total (including senior, parent, friend and challenge funds).

Oct. 31, 2008	25% GOAL	+$1,000 in challenge money
Dec. 12, 2008	50% GOAL	+$2,000 in challenge money
March 7, 2009	75% GOAL	+$2,500 in challenge money
April 25, 2009	100% GOAL	+$4,500 in challenge money

The 2009 Senior Gift was our first opportunity to give back to Hamilton, honor our class and show our pride in our College. Three things that we accomplished in spades; thank you.
