ITINERARY
Day 1 Depart Gateway City for Denmark
Depart your gateway city for Copenhagen, Denmark, aboard scheduled jet service.  (Provided for Air/Cruise Program participants only.)

Day 2 Arrive Copenhagen, Denmark

Upon arrival, transfer to the pier to embark the Crystal Symphony. (Transfer provided for Air/Cruise Program participants only.)

This evening, join your Travel Director and fellow travelers for a festive Welcome Aboard Reception.
Day 3 Cruise the North Sea
As the first full day of your journey is spent at sea, there is no better time to become acquainted with the vast selection of amenities and activities available on the Crystal Symphony. Relax on the Sun Deck or treat yourself to a massage at the Crystal Spa. Join a friendly table tennis or shuffleboard tournament. You may decide to browse in the ship's gift shops, try your luck at Crystal Casino, work out in the fully equipped gym or swim a few laps in the ship's pool.
Day 4 Geiranger / Hellesylt, Norway
Discover the natural, dramatic and exceptional beauty of Geirangerfjord, a UNESCO World Heritage List site. The steep walls of the fjord, which reach as high as 5,250 feet, were created by ice shelves that pushed inland as they melted and reformed during prehistoric times.
Day 5 Trondheim, Norway
Trondheim is the medieval capital of Norway. A fire destroyed most of the wooden buildings in the late 17th century, so the town was rebuilt in the baroque style of that period. One of the few remaining medieval structures is Nidaros Cathedral, which was completed about the turn of the 13th-century. It is said that the cathedral's altar was built over the grave of King Olav Haraldsson, who died in battle in 1030 and was declared a saint one year later.

Day 6 Honningsvåg, Norway
Honningsvåg is the gateway to the North Cape, the dramatic 1,007-foot cliff that looks over the Norwegian Sea. The town was almost completely destroyed at the end of World War II. The only building that remained when the German army left was the church, where residents lived while the town was rebuilt.

Day 7 Cruise the North Cape and
Bear Island, Norway

Admire the dramatic scenery of the North Cape and Bear Island. Enjoy the amenities of the Crystal Symphony during your day at sea.

Day 8 Cruise Sørkapp, Spitsbergen,
Norway

Spitsbergen is the largest island of the Svalbard archipelago. Today, cruise past the southern tip of Spitsbergen. Enjoy the luxurious comfort of the Crystal Symphony and join some of the many activities onboard.
Day 9 Cruise the Ice Barrier
Today, cruise the northern reaches of Svalbard. A full day at sea allows you to try many of the activities on the ship. Indulge in pampering spa treatments at the award-winning Crystal Spa, take a dance lesson or get a few tips from the golf pro. The possibilities are endless!

Day 10 Longyearbyen, Spitsbergen,
Norway

It is difficult to believe, but this island once was home to a tropical forest. But Spitsbergen's prehistoric past is the reason the island is rich in coal, its major industry. Its port, Longyearbyen, was named for John M. Longyear, American founder of the Arctic Coal Co. Visitors to the island will appreciate the colorful plant life that flourishes during the endless summer days. See creatures such as polar bears, arctic foxes, reindeer, seals, walruses and whales enjoying the summer sun.
Day 11 Cruise the Barents Sea
Your day at sea can be as relaxing or activity-filled as you want it to be. Discover something new at the Computer University@Sea or join one of the many other classes offered through Crystal Cruises' Creative Learning Institute.
Day 12 Ålesund, Norway
Ålesund, one of Geirangerfjord's many charming towns, is best known for its collection of Jugendstil architecture. Jugendstil is the German branch of the late 19th-century and early 20th-century art nouveau movement. In 1904, a fire destroyed the town, leaving 10,000 people homeless. Three years later, 600 Jugendstil homes were built.

Day 13 Gudvangen / Flåm, Norway
Flåm is tucked in the mountains of Sognefjord, Norway's longest fjord. Witness the awesome beauty of towering mountains and cascading waterfalls. A top attraction is the Flåmsbana, a 13-mile railway that winds up the mountain and provides the best views of this magnificent fjord.

Day 14 Bergen, Norway
Bergen was founded in the 11th century and holds a rich history. Though Oslo became the royal seat in the 14th century, it was Bergen that rose to prominence in the Middle Ages as one of the trading ports of the influential and wealthy Hanseatic League. Today, the Bryggen, the historic wharf, still thrives with activity.
Day 15 Cruise the North Sea
The Crystal Symphony offers many activities during your final full day at sea.
Day 16 Stockholm, Sweden
Though it is built on 14 islands, Stockholm is easy to explore on foot and by subway and bus. A must-see is the colorful Old Town and its lively square. The Royal Palace is the world's largest palace still in residence. The city also is home to many museums. The ship docks here overnight.
Day 17 Stockholm / Disembark ship / Return to Gateway City
Disembark the ship and transfer by motorcoach to the airport for the return flight(s) to your gateway city. (Provided for Air Program participants only.)
