Class Committees play a vital role in the life of the College by engaging classmates in the life of the College: promoting activities on and off campus, encouraging attendance at reunions, and generating crucial support for students through Hamilton’s Annual Fund. Each year, hundreds of volunteers secure the vital alumni gifts that provide scholarship aid, and strengthen opportunities for all students to find satisfying paths off the Hill to begin lives of meaning and purpose after Hamilton.
New for 2016-17: Social Media Advocates! To keep pace with evolving digital means of classmate communication, Hamilton is seeking a cadre of social media enthusiasts in each class -- volunteers who are willing to use their Hamilton social networks to promote the College. Examples include sharing Hamilton-related information; encouraging attendance at events both on campus (Fallcoming, Reunions, other special occasions) and off (Al Ham Birthday Parties, Class & Charter Day gatherings, other regional events); and urging classmates to support the Annual Fund at key times during the year. Suggestions of content for posts and tweets also welcome. Sign up using the survey link below or contact Tim O'Keeffe, Senior Director, Interactive Media.
Special conference calls with campus leaders are held monthly for the benefit of Hamilton's key volunteers -- Class Committee members, 1812 Leadership Committee members, GOLD Engagement Committee members, Reunion Committee members and Class Presidents.
