New Faces on the Hill

George Conney, custodian, comes to us from Central Asphalt where he was responsible for customer service, inventories of the tanks and yard maintenance.  He gained his custodial experience at St. Luke's Hospital and Whitney Janitorial.  George enjoys snowmobiling during the winter and is also a NASCAR fan.  He lives with his family in Oriskany.

Stewart Lyman, custodian, comes to us from the housekeeping department at Faxton-St. Luke's Hospital.  He was also a member of the custodial staff at Waterville Central School.  Stewart graduated from Whitesboro Central School and took classes in advertising and design at Mohawk Valley Community College.  He served as a medic in the Army.  Stewart and his wife, Diana, have two sons, a daughter-in-law and one grandson.  Stewart enjoys spending time canoeing and hiking with his family, especially his grandson.

Pamela Merriman, custodian, previously worked at Oneida Limited for more than nine years as a brocader and packager.  She has also worked at the Holiday Inn as a housekeeper.  She lives in Vernon with her husband, William, and her three children and is anticipating the graduations of two of her children from college and high school this year.  She also enjoys the outdoors with her horse and dog.

Marlyn Santos, office coordinator in the Career Center, was born and raised in Miami and moved to Utica in 2000 to attend Pratt at Munson Williams Proctor Institute.  Marlyn's parents come from the Dominican Republic so she is fluent in Spanish and knows beginners' French and Portuguese.  Marlyn says she is also fluent in Merengue, Bachata and Periko Ripiao.  Prior to Hamilton, Marlyn held a clerical support position for a Spanish record label, Jose Luis Records/APS Records.  She loves to travel, read, dance, paint and "couch potato," not necessarily in that order.  Marlyn is the friendly "hello" you receive when you enter the Career Center (msantos, ext. 4346).

Kimberly Hutchins, senior assistant, athletics, has joined us from Fleet Boston Financial where she had been employed for more than nine years as an administrative assistant to the vice president of payroll.  Kim is working toward a degree in accounting from Mohawk Valley Community College and has gained a strong administrative support background through various training and development programs.  She is an avid horsewoman who trains and shows in both English and Western riding, designs and makes horseshow clothing and belongs to many equestrian and volunteer organizations.  Kim and her husband, Bob, live in Boonville with their 11-year-old daughter, Justine (khutchin, ext. 4752).

Roxanne Bellamy-Campbell has a part-time appointment as music ministries outreach coordinator, directing a student gospel choir and increased opportunities for religious life on campus. She earned a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from SUNY Albany, and a B.A. in psychology from Syracuse University.  Roxanne is a former adjunct professor of psychology at Utica College.  She is the founder of Life Enrichment Consulting, providing lectures and workshops to schools and organizations serving children and families. Roxanne provides staff development and training on interpersonal dynamics, personal and professional growth. She is the founder of  Mere Servant Ministries, which blends her mental health consulting skills with her Christian foundation, and is founder and president of Bolder Spirit Productions, LLC, a Christian entertainment company, producing multimedia concerts and events in the community.  Roxanne is also commitmented to Christian music ministry, serving on several committees and advisory boards and singing locally and regionally. At Hamilton, she will establish and direct the Hamilton Gospel Choir, and initiate and coordinate the Hamilton College Christian Night Club, "Club Water Rock."
