New Faces on the Hill

Nikki Barbano, Senior Assistant, Alumni Programs, comes to us from Intelligent Query Engines, Inc. in Syracuse where she was an administrative assistant.  Nikki brings with her more than 15 years of administrative and accounting experience.  When she?s not working she enjoys spending time with her husband, Joe, and their two sons, Joey and Cole.  The entire family is very active in several youth sports organizations.  (ext 4657, nbarbano)

Gary Chan, Programmer/Analyst, ITS, graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1997, with a bachelor?s degree in electrical engineering and also has a computer career program certificate from DePaul University (mainframe programming.)  Gary most recently worked as a programmer for Gomembers, Inc., a customized browser-based product.  He and his wife, Jovita, and their   3 ½-year-old daughter, Sidney, just welcomed a new little boy to their family. Dana Cook will be assisting us as Assistant Registrar/Preparator in the Emerson Gallery for the spring term.  She received her bachelor's degree in studio arts, specializing in painting/drawing, from St. Lawrence University.  While at St. Lawrence, she spent one semester in Northern Ireland and rowed crew.  A native of Earlville, Dana has worked for Richard F. Brush Gallery at St. Lawrence University, Adirondack Lakes Center for the Arts, Old Forge Arts Center, and the NW Barrett Gallery in Portsmouth, N.Y.  Her interests include sports, horseback riding, and travel, and she is engaged to be married in July.  (ext. 4789, dcook)

Angel Gonzalez, Custodian, has more than five years custodial experience with Schneider Packaging Equipment in Brewerton and Sithe Energy in Sherrill.  Angel moved from New York City to Oneida in 1995 where he now lives with his wife, Alison, and their two children, Austin and Ariana.  Angel is retiring from softball this year so he can devote his time to coaching his children?s T-ball team.  (ext. 4500)

Ann Hobert-Pritchard, Office Assistant/Application Processor, joined the Admissions team to help process the thousands of applications received each year and to provide general secretarial support to the office.  Ann has more than 10 years experience in the banking industry throughout New England and most recently was a senior sales associate with Rec-Creation Pools in Clinton.  Ann enjoys knitting, hiking and spending time with her husband, Bob, and their three dogs.  (ext. 4441, apritcha)

Anna O?Brien has joined us for the spring term as a lecturer in chemistry.  She received a bachelor?s degree in chemistry and a master?s in chemical and environmental engineering from the University of Toledo, and is currently a Ph.D. candidate in the chemistry program at Syracuse University.  Her master?s program included research in the development of metal affinity hydrogel membranes for protein separation. Tze Teck Sim, Data Base Administrator, ITS, has a bachelor?s degree in
marketing and management from the University of Oregon and a bachelor?s in computer information systems from SUNY IT.  Tze Teck brings with him experience as a database administrator at Special Metals, and positions at Metropolitan College of Denver, and Astech Intermedia in Denver.  He enjoys traveling and hiking.
