Role Reversal

Faculty members turn back the clock and return to the classroom as students

October 4, 2004

It’s 8:59 a.m. and Sam Pellman is anxiously awaiting the start of Professor Edith Toegel’s third-semester German class. He did his homework, he studied his vocabulary, yet still he knows the next hour will be a tough one. He only hopes he can get through it without looking like a fool. TIAA-CREF Representative to be on Campus

A TIAA-CREF representative will be on campus this fall to provide individual counseling sessions on the following dates: Thursday, Oct. 28; Wednesday, Nov.  3; Thursday, Dec. 2 and Tuesday, Dec. 7. All College employees are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to confidentially discuss current investment strategies and to receive guidance on how to meet your long-term investment goals. The representative is prepared to address questions about asset allocation as well as general retirement and financial planning issues. These sessions are helpful even if you are not a TIAA-CREF participant.

Personnel Services also has copies of “Retirement Strategies”, a booklet which provides guidance on how to determine and meet one’s financial needs in retirement.

If you would like to schedule a personal appointment to meet with the representative and/or would like a copy of “Retirement Strategies”, please contact Donna Grygiel at ext. 4689.
