Student-Athlete Advisory Committee

Hamilton's SAAC was founded in 1998, and has significantly increased its presence on campus since 2011 by expanding membership and community outreach efforts.  Currently, 47 student-athletes from Hamilton's 29 varsity sports teams serve as members of the Hamilton SAAC.  While each varsity team is represented by at least one athlete, some teams are represented by more.  Committee members are elected by coaches, and can also be invited to join by an existing SAAC member.

  • To promote effective communication between the Hamilton College Athletic Department and the student-athlete population.
  • To encourage the involvement of student-athletes in campus and community projects.
  • To design and implement programs which will increase school spirit.
  • To disseminate information to student-athletes.
  • To solicit responses from student-athletes to proposed NCAA and NESCAC rule changes.
