Possible community service project ideas mentioned: a) Collect tops off cans for Lion's Club charity for children-MENTION TO YOUR TEAMS! b) Make A Difference Day- October 12th- e-mail Ginger Pearson (gpearson) if you would like to be involved VII. New Reps UCAA- Stephanie Dunn and Elijah Huling NESCAC- Brett Zalazki and Lara Clemenzi (replacements- Tracy Nichols, still in need one male rep) Committee on Athletics- Steven Larson and Avery Anderson VIII. Website- Discussed changes for the web page- addition of athlete's sub-committee next to their sport, also drawing attention to the heads of each committee, addition of our committee photo taken this meeting IX. Spirit Day- OCTOBER 26th Suggestions for possible activities- raffles/prizes instead of half time contests, publicity. NO more food served during Spirit Day, it was too difficult in the past. X. New Business Discussion of seasonal sports brunch- We discussed possible options to change the traditional Sunday brunch. Ideas included end of the year event instead, just seniors?, dance party/dinner/slide show event, packet summarizing awards on tables in the dining halls, change the time to a dinner event, picnic etc. ASK YOUR TEAMS WHAT THEY SUGGEST! XI. Voluntary Out of Season Activities/Hazing Sheet- SHARE WITH YOUR TEAMS! (post in locker room or somewhere visible) XII. Future Meeting Dates October 14th, November 4th, December 2nd, January 27th, February 17th, March 10th, April 7th, April 28th **NEXT MEETING OCTOBER 14TH** |
