In addition to the full-time training staff, a dedicated group of student first responders assist in the daily operations of the sports medicine facility. These students are the cornerstone of our operations, we could not provide quality care without these individuals.
The program is under the direction of head certified athletic
trainer Scott Siddon. Siddon is in his 20th year at Hamilton. He
graduated with a bachelor's degree from SUNY Cortland in
1992. Siddon went on to earn his master's from the University
of Oregon in 1994. He and his wife, Cindy live in Clinton with their two children, Mackenzie and Cooper.

Assistant certified athletic trainer Pat Giruzzi is in his 16th
year on the staff. Giruzzi received his bachelor's degree from
Elmira College in 1998. Pat became a Registered Orthopedic
Technologist (ROT) in 2007 and is skilled in casting and brace fabrication. He and his wife Wendy reside in Utica along with their two children Patrick and Parker.

Steph is in her fourth year as an assistant at
Hamilton and has been a certified athletic trainer since 2008. Kowell received her bachelor's degree in physical education with an emphasis in athletic training from Suny Brockport in 2008 and earned her master's in education from the Old Dominion in 2010. Stephanie has recently worked at Farleigh Dickinson University and hails from the Syracuse, NY area.

Kara is in her fourth year as part of Hamilton’s Sports Medicine Staff. McKeag received a Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from Springfield College and her Master’s degree in Athletic Training from East Stroudsburg University. She has had experience as a Certified Athletic Trainer at Lehigh University and The Ohio State University prior to coming to Hamilton. Kara is a NY State Licensed Athletic Trainer and is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association. She also holds a certification as a Registered Orthopedic Technician.

Charles Bell MS, ATC, CSCS joins Hamilton College bringing diverse interrelated experiences in sport medicine, nutrition, and sports performance. Essential services preformed include nutrition counseling, manual therapy, postoperative care, metabolic conditioning, and sport performance programming.
Notable prior work experiences include NCAA Sweet Sixteen and Elite Eight Regional Tournament coverage, The East West Shrine Senior Bowl, and treatment for the U.S. Soccer Developmental Academy. An Athletic Trainer caring for an assorted patient population, he has treated or instructed a variety of players including High School, amateur, collegiate, and professional athletes.
A Florida Native, Charles attended Florida State University earning a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and later obtained his Master of Science in Athletic Training from Seton Hall University. During available free time you will find Charles playing in recreational basketball leagues, refining his skills in a local weight room or working on the issues concerning community nutrition.
