Brett Hull, HEAD COACH

Brett Hull is in his 19th year as the Hamilton College head men’s cross country and track and field coach. Hull guided Peter Kosgei '10 to an NCAA Division III individual title at the 2008 cross country championships in Indiana. Kosgei is a two-time cross country All-American. Earlier last year, Kosgei was named Division III men's cross country athlete of the year by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association, Atlantic Region athlete of the year, the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) most outstanding performer and New York State Collegiate Track Conference (NYSCTC) outstanding runner of the year awards.

Led by Kosgei's considerable talent, Hull's Continentals finished fourth at the NYSCTC championships and 10th out of 34 teams at the 2008 NCAA Division III Atlantic regional championships. Hull has led this program to success at many levels. The Continentals enjoyed three straight top-five finishes at the NYSCTC championship from 1998 to 2000, including third place at states in 1999. Hamilton has regularly placed among the top 10 teams at NCAA regionals. Hamilton finished eighth at regionals in 1998, 2000 and 2007, and was 10th in 1999 and 2008.

Hull's program also focuses on solid academic performance. Keith Gross '09 was a NESCAC Fall all-academic selection in 2007 and 2008. Each honoree has a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.35 and must have reached junior academic standing at his institution. In 2008, Hull's squad earned a USTFCCCA all-academic team honor.

Hull previously was the head cross country and track and field coach at SUNY Cortland and SUNY Plattsburgh. He was named the SUNYAC coach of the year in 1985-86 while at Cortland. Hull has developed 16 All-Americans, including national champions in the 800, 1,500 and 5,000-meter run, the mile and the steeplechase.

Hull earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Frostburg State University. He resides in New Hartford with his wife Ellen and their daughters, Emily and Juliet.

Caitlin Bradley, ASSISTANT COACH

Cait Bradley is in her first season as an assistant coach for the Hamilton College men's and women's cross country and track and field programs. Bradley was a seven-time All-American in cross country, indoor and outdoor track and field at Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pa.

Bradley is one of just 58 athletes to earn at least three All-America honors in NCAA Division III cross country championships history. She finished in the top 10 twice at the national meet, including second in 2006. Dickinson qualified for the NCAA championships all four years she was there, and finished sixth in 2005 and 2006. Bradley was a team captain in 2007 and was named Dickinson's most valuable runner three times. In 2006, Bradley was selected the Division III Mideast region female athlete of the year for cross country by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

Bradley's finest moment in track and field came in 2008, when she finished first in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 10:22.6 at the NCAA outdoor championships. She took third place in the steeplechase in 2007 and came in eighth place as a rookie in 2005. She earned another All-America honor in the mile as she finished seventh at the 2007 NCAA indoor championships. Bradley was a two-time captain of the track and field teams. She was voted the Centennial Conference athlete of the meet after the 2007 indoor and outdoor championships, and the 2008 outdoor championships. She was named the 2007 Division III Mideast region female outdoor track athlete of the year by the USTFCCCA.

Bradley was a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee at Dickinson as a junior and a senior. She graduated from Dickinson in 2008 with a bachelor's degree in mathematics. She is from Fairfield, Conn.
