Ellen Hull, HEAD COACH

Ellen Hull is in her 17th season as the Hamilton College head coach for women's cross country and track and field.

Hull's teams have made four appearances in the NCAA Division III championships, including three straight from 1999 to 2001. The 1999 team finished in seventh place, which stands as the program's best showing. Hull was selected the 1999 NCAA Atlantic region coach of the year after Hamilton captured second place at the regional championships. The Continentals own four top three finishes in the regional race under Hull.

Hull has coached four cross-country runners to five NCAA All-America awards and a number of athletes to several all-region honors. Maggie Hanson earned a spot on the All-America team in 1999 and repeated the feat in 2001. Jen Cammarano (2001), Kate Nelson (2000) and Ann Toth (1999) were also All-Americans. The most recent all-region performers were Gen Flanders '09 and Meredith FitzPatrick '11 in 2008. FitzPatrick qualified to compete in the 2007 NCAA championships as an individual.

The program has recorded three runner-up finishes in the New York State Collegiate Track Conference (NYSCTC) championships with Hull. She guided Hamilton to four straight Liberty League titles from 1998 to 2001, and has won five league championship crowns overall. She was named the league's coach of the year in 2000.

Hull's program also focuses on academic success. Three cross country runners made the 2008 New England Small College Athletic Conference fall all-academic team. Each honoree has a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.35 and must have reached junior academic standing at her institution. Last year, the program qualified to be a U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association all-academic team as Flanders, FitzPatrick, Kate Hails '10 and Emily Potter '12 earned all-academic honors from the organization.

Hull earned her bachelor's degree from SUNY Plattsburgh and her master's from Ithaca College. She was an assistant coach at both Plattsburgh and Ithaca, and was the head coach of the men's and women's track and field teams at Morrisville State College. Hull currently serves on the Eastern College Athletic Conference cross country/track and field committee and has been president of the NYSCTC. She is an accredited Level II USA track and field coach.

Hull resides in New Hartford with her husband Brett and their daughters, Emily and Juliet.

Caitlin Bradley, ASSISTANT COACH

Cait Bradley is in her first season as an assistant coach for the Hamilton College men's and women's cross country and track and field programs. Bradley was a seven-time All-American in cross country, indoor and outdoor track and field at Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pa.

Bradley is one of just 58 athletes to earn at least three All-America honors in NCAA Division III cross country championships history. She finished in the top 10 twice at the national meet, including second in 2006. Dickinson qualified for the NCAA championships all four years she was there, and finished sixth in 2005 and 2006. Bradley was a team captain in 2007 and was named Dickinson's most valuable runner three times. In 2006, Bradley was selected the Division III Mideast region female athlete of the year for cross country by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

Bradley's finest moment in track and field came in 2008, when she finished first in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 10:22.6 at the NCAA outdoor championships. She took third place in the steeplechase in 2007 and came in eighth place as a rookie in 2005. She earned another All-America honor in the mile as she finished seventh at the 2007 NCAA indoor championships. Bradley was a two-time captain of the track and field teams. She was voted the Centennial Conference athlete of the meet after the 2007 indoor and outdoor championships, and the 2008 outdoor championships. She was named the 2007 Division III Mideast region female outdoor track athlete of the year by the USTFCCCA.

Bradley was a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee at Dickinson as a junior and a senior. She graduated from Dickinson in 2008 with a bachelor's degree in mathematics. She is from Fairfield, Conn.
