Overview



Six starters, three starting pitchers and 17 letter winners return in 2009 for a Hamilton College baseball team that finished with a double-digit win total for the eighth time in program history last year. Second baseman Gideon Clark '09 (pictured) is a team captain and one of four seniors on the squad. Pitchers Zak Cohen '09 and Jake Saidman '09, and shortstop/outfielder Ryan Calabrese '09 are the other seniors. All four are three-year letter winners. Pitcher/third baseman Alex Augustyn '10 and pitcher Max Foster '10 are the other team captains. Those six players intend to help the Continentals finish in the top two of the New England Small College Athletic Conference's West Division, and compete in the conference championship tournament for the first time.
