Long and triple jump standout Akilah Bond '09 (pictured, left) leads the Hamilton College women's track and field program into the 2008-09 indoor season. Bond earned All-America honors for finishing seventh in the triple jump at the 2007 NCAA Division III championships. She just missed a second All-America award at Ohio Northern University where she placed ninth in the triple at the 2008 NCAA meet. She holds school records in the long jump (5.24 meters), triple jump (11.73m) and as part of the 800-meter relay (1:48.40). Bond, along with distance runner Abby Jones '09, are the captains and two of six seniors on this squad. Sarah Caney '09, Gen Flanders '09, Jessiy Salwen '09 and Rebecca Yaguda '09 are the others.
