Overview
In her first year as head coach, Erin Reding guided the Hamilton College women's volleyball program to the most wins in one season since the Continentals posted 17 victories in 1999. Six newcomers dominate the 10-player roster as Hamilton aims to improve on its 10-22 record from 2008, and qualify for the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) championships for the first time. Co-captains Alex Singh '11 (pictured) and Rachel Irizarry '12 lead the returners. The Continentals open the season with four matches at the Emerson College/Wentworth Institute of Technology Tournament on Sept. 4 and 5. The first home match at 2,200-seat Margaret Bundy Scott Fieldhouse is against local rival Utica College on Sept. 16 at 7 p.m.

Conversation with Alex Singh '11November 2, 2009 This is the fifth installment in a series of interviews with Hamilton College student-athletes. Alex Singh '11 is a co-captain on the women's volleyball team, which just finished its 25th season. Singh was third on the team in kills and tied for third in blocks. She is a three-year letter winner and one of two juniors on a team with no seniors. Singh has spent considerable time in London, England, and Tokyo, Japan.
