Fitness for the Fearful
New Class
Meets Thursdays at noon (Beginning 10/29)
Open to students, faculty and staff

Perhaps you are one of the curious, wishing you had the courage to join in on the classes offered at the Fitness Center but afraid of making a fool of yourself?  Well, here you go!
This is an entry-level, group fitness class choreographed and paced for the newcomer.
In the context of a real fitness class (you will get a workout!) emphasis will be on teaching basic moves familiar to Step, floor cardio, Body Bar and Ball classes.... a real mixed bag of fun, music and positive encouragement. Please bring water and a towel.


C2 Indoor Rowing

 Have 30 to 40 minutes at lunchtime and need a GREAT cardio workout that has minimal joint impact, while strengthening EVERY major muscle group in your body? C2 Rowing offers the most TIME-EFFICIENT way to condition your aerobic and anaerobic energy systems. If you're looking for an awesome FAT-BURNING workout or a great way to CROSS-TRAIN for other activities, then...
C2 is for you!!!
A water bottle and comfortable clothing are all that is required to participate. Beginners are Welcomed!


Body Bar w/Step
Wednesdays at 12:10

Add some variety to your workout by using a weighted bar, hand weights and step aerobics to alternate strength training and cardio routines. Class begins at 12;10 and ends at 12:55, great for employees who are crunched for time. Clss ends with toning, abs and stretch. Beginners are welcomed and encouraged to try this class.

High intensity cardio that can be modified for your level of fitness. This class includes basic kickboxing and cardio routines as well as some strength training and toning. Beginners are welcome.

Aqua fitness is a deep water conditioning program for the beginner as well as the athlete who desires to cross-train or condition for their sport in the off-season. Aqua classes provide a resistance and cardiovascular conditioning program that will promote fitness.
 

Zumba
Thursdays at 12:10

CWB Dance Studio
Instructor: Rita Ashton
Zumba is a Latin-inspired, dance-fitness class that incorporates Latin and International music and dance movements. This class format combines fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body in an aerobic/fitness fashion to achieve a unique blended balance of cardio and muscle-toning benefits. Zumba integrates some of the basic principles of aerobic, interval, and resistance training. The cardio-based dance movements are easy-to-follow steps that include body sculpting, which targets areas such as gluteals, legs, arms, core, and the most important muscle in the body, the heart! The basic steps formula makes it easy for any fitness level.
Zumba is "Exercise in Disquise". So ditch the workout, and join the party!
 
Power Yoga
Tuesdays and Thursdays  4:30-5:30pm (Beginning 10/27)

A more dynamic style of Yoga. This class will have you drawing on and developing muscular strength and endurance.

Hatha Yoga is an ancient system of wellness. Both gentle and dynamic postures address every system of the body, while the practice of breath and mindfulness techniques work to restore calm and clarity of mind. Yoga leaves you feeling refreshed, vital and alert.

Group personal fitness
Cost: $10 per class
This class structure is based upon simple yet effective fundamental movement patterns executed at a moderate to high intensity. These workouts deliver time-tested measurable health and fitness improvements. This technology delivers the most effective broad-based fitness results in the most efficient manner possible.




Cost: $10.00 per class, or $70.00 for the 4 week program.

What to bring: wear comfortable workout clothing and a water bottle and be prepared to work and see the transformation begin!

Lisa has served as the US Air Force and Air National Guard Physical Training Leader for 6 years, as well as 20 plus years of Personal Training and Fitness Instructor experience. She offers training programs that are result oriented for the new fitness enthusiast as well as the serious athlete desiring to take their game to the next level.
