Overview
A huge, talented and experienced senior class will aim for the second NCAA Division III championship appearance in Hamilton College field hockey history in 2011. Eight seniors -- all of whom were regular starters in 2010 -- return this year. Erin McNally '12, who was an All-American at midfield in 2009, leads the group. McNally, Mary Lancaster '12 and Sarah Flisnik '12 are the team captains. The rest of the seniors are Erin Bessette-Kirton '12, Katherine Bossler '12, Caitlin Livsey '12, Catie Torcivia '12 and Marisa Spagnolo '12. The Class of 2012 has won 33 games so far in their Hamilton careers. 2010 All-America forward Colleen Callaghan '11 graduated after one of the best careers in program history. Callaghan holds team records for most goals, assists and points in a career, and most goals and points in a season. She tied the record for assists in a season. Hamilton is ranked 17th in the preseason Top 20 coaches poll, and six other ranked teams are on this year's schedule.
