Overview
Before last season, 20 Hamilton College women's swimmers and divers had earned All-America recognition, and a number of others had received honorable mention All-America awards. But no Hamilton women's swimmer had captured a national title by winning an event at the NCAA Division III championships until Maggie Rosenbaum '14 finished first in the 100-yard backstroke as a rookie at the 2011 national meet. Rosenbaum also picked up an honorable mention All-America award for the 200 back, and was part of an honorable mention All-America 400 medley relay. Megan Gibbons '12, who owns four honorable mention All-America awards, and Joan Burton '13 were part of that relay. The record-breaking trio leads all returners in 2011-12. Gibbons, Lizzy Buhl '12, Jeannie Folan '12 and Gabrielle Goione '12 are the team captains and comprise the squad's Class of 2012.
