Milestone 4: Learn to Interview

To be successful in securing an internship before your senior year, the Career Center's expectation is that you will achieve an interviewing milestone by learning the techniques of successful interviewing early in your senior year. What is successful interviewing? As you may guess, the variety of styles of interviews is vast, but it is possible to learn to answer ten commonly-asked questions that will serve you in any interviewing environment.

Interviewing Guide
The Interviewing Guide offers extensive tips for successful interviewing as well as information about various interview styles, how to prepare for the interview, what might happen during the interview, a list of questions commonly asked by interviewers and tips for following up after the interview.
 
Interviewing Podcast
The interviewing podcast provides tips on how to answer nine commonly-asked interview questions.

Practice Interview
Ready for the next step? Try a practice interview! A practice interview is conducted in a private session with a career counselor. You will prepare for the practice interview just as you would prepare to be interviewed by an employer. The interview is recorded and you can review it with your counselor. This is an excellent resource for improving your interviewing skills.
