Sophomore JumpStart!

Sophomore JumpStart! is part of the Career Center’s “G.P.S.” (Goals, Planning, Success), a series of programs targeted exclusively at sophomores to prepare them for future success. It offers students a jumpstart on planning for their future. At the conference-style event, students attend a variety of sessions throughout the day and hear from alumni who have completed the process and pursued successful career as well as Career Center staff, upperclass students and faculty. The event ends with casual reception where you will be able to talk with your assigned Peer Advisor and other Career Center staff.

Sophomores Get a JumpStart on Career Planning

The second annual Sophomore JumpStart, created by Hamilton’s Maurice Horowitch Career Center, took place on Sept. 8 at the Radisson Hotel in Utica. Approximately 50 sophomores spent their Saturday morning listening to various speakers, learning resume building tips and taking assessments to gauge their potential career interests.
