Job Description:

The Clinton Early Learning Center, located on the Hamilton College campus in Clinton, is seeking an Assistant Director to serve as floating sub as well as  handle some administrative tasks. The position requires classroom coverage (approximately 65% of the time) in the event of staff shortages due to absences and/or vacations. The Assistant Director will assist the Center Director in day-to-day operations as needed, and will assume the responsibilities of the Director in his or her absence.

Education/Skills/Abilities

  • Enjoys working with children (ages 18 months to five years)
  • Possesses leadership and management skills
  • Uses tact, discretion, and good judgment
  • Ability to supervise others
  • Excellent verbal communication
  • Associates degree required, Bachelors degree preferred
  • Early Childhood Development education preferred
  • Ability to work in an organized and logical manner
