The staff at the Clinton Early Learning Center consists of six full-time equivalent teachers and two administrators. Our current staff bring a variety of early childhood education experience and have shared their wealth of knowledge and care with the children at the Center for a combined total of 79 years. The Center supports the participation of the teachers in professional development seminars and workshops each year to further supplement their extensive experience.
We are tremendously proud of the dedicated enthusiasm of all our teachers. The following quotes from the staff offer an insight to their commitment to the children at the Center.
Oversight of the Clinton Early Learning Center is provided by a seven-member volunteer Board of Directors which meets in the Director's office at 7:00 pm on the third Monday of each month. All parents are voting members of the Center and are invited to attend these meetings. Elections to the Board are held in the spring. In addition, numerous volunteer opportunities are available for those parents who would like to assist in the operations of the Center and fundraising events which benefit the Center. Please contact any of the current Board members for additional information about these volunteer opportunities.
Saturday, March 23, we will be having a Basket Raffle at the Little Pub (Adults-only) to raise money for the CELC Scholarship Fund. If you would like to donate a basket, please contact Kelly Lehmann or Erica Shaw.
We will be celebrating the history of the Center with presentations that include still photos recalling scenes from our early years and snippets of a video history, in which those who have been significant in the life of the Center talk about key moments. Children and families are welcome.
Let the celebration begin now by spreading the word! More ...
