Thursday, First Week of Advent
"Rejoice in the Lord always. I shall say it again: rejoice! Your kindness should be known to all. The Lord is near. Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.”
— Philippians 4:4-7
Advent marks a joyous season because we are celebrating the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
This is a great time to step back, reflect, and spend more time in prayer.
Holy God, open our eyes to witnessing you to others,
Fill us with your mighty grace and compassion,
Teach us to be more understanding and patient.
Thank you, Lord, for your Mighty Son,
Let us see his example as the road to follow.
With all the excitement, our spiritual life can be rejuvenated.
Happy Advent! :)
