Student Grief Support Group
Grief for people in your life who have died takes a lot of different forms, but sometimes it's difficult to find someone to talk to about your loss... especially a few months (or years) after the death has occurred.
A grief support group is a possibility for each semester for any student who has experienced the death of a loved one--a parent, a sibling, a close friend--and would like the chance to talk about it with other students who have experienced a similar grief. Please contact Jeff McArn if you would like to know more about ways of dealing with the loss of a loved one.
Individual meetings to discuss the loss of a loved one are also available for any student struggling with this experience.
Don't forget, we do have a Counseling Center for members of the community who are looking for professional psychotherapy. They can be reached at 315-859-4340.
