Allen HarrisonAllen Harrison, Jr. is the Associate Dean of Students for Diversity and Accessibility. Allen works with and advocates for students from diverse racial, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, abilities and sexual orientations. Additionally, he facilitates diversity and other campus-based training; provides leadership in the development of educational, cultural, and social programs and activities; fosters a campus climate that celebrates and respects the uniqueness of all its members; and builds and strengthens partnerships throughout the Hamilton College community and beyond.  He has extensive knowledge of multiple areas within student life, and campus diversity issues, as Harrison has approximately fourteen-years of higher education administration experience.  He received his B.A. from Curry College and his M.B.A. and M.S. from SUNY Institute of Technology. As a Utica native, Harrison looks forward to serving both the Hamilton and local communities.

New York City Program Visits Museum of Modern Art, Hears Scott MacDonald Lecture
Associate Professor of Philosophy and Director of the New York City Program Katheryn Doran and the Hamilton in NYC students visited the Museum of Modern Art on Oct. 6. They saw Visiting Professor of Comparative Literature Scott MacDonald's film exhibition and talk celebrating the publication of his 2008 book, Canyon Cinema: The Life and Times of an Independent Film Distributor.
