Multicultural Programs
The Associate Dean of Students for Diversity and Accessibility supports students from diverse backgrounds in a variety of ways, including:
  • assisting students with their transition to college;
  • providing leadership in the development of educational, cultural, and social programs and activities;
  • fostering a campus climate that respects the uniqueness of all its members;
  • serving as an advocate for students from diverse racial, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds and sexual orientations;
  • building coalitions with other organizations and departments throughout the Hamilton College community.

Guiding Principles for Multicultural Programs:

  • to celebrate diversity;
  • to promote respect and civility;
  • to challenge students to grow in their understanding of themselves and others;
  • to encourage the free expression of widely varying views.

The Office of Diversity and Accessibility hosts numerous campus events in conjunction with Multicultural Student Organizations and with other offices on campus.
