As Director of the Instructional Technology Support Services Team (ITSST), Nikki coordinates all of the services provided by ITSST with the goal of providing balanced support for the use of technology across the curriculum at Hamilton. Nikki is particularly concerned with the integration of resources and services to provide flexible yet powerful technologies s to support the academic program. As a member of the faculty support group, Nikki draws on her broad understanding of I.T. resources both on campus and at other institutions, and her education and experience in computer science and human factors to manage and develop the instructional technologies available to Hamilton faculty and students.
Janet Simons - Instructional Technology Specialist/Co-director Digital Humanities Initiative
Janet works with faculty to develop appropriate and effective integration of technology in instruction and learning. With over 7 years experience teaching undergraduate sciences courses and 8 years experience as an instructional technologist at Hamilton, she brings a broad understanding of instructional technology, strong interdisciplinary focus, and creative understanding of the learning process to collaborations with faculty. These collaborations develop course and assignment designs targeted to specific learning goals, and assist faculty with their own digital scholarship. She is currently Co-directing Hamilton's Digital Humanities Initiative with Professor Angel David Nieves. Before coming to Hamilton, she taught at the University of New Orleans. Curriculum vita
Krista Siniscarco - Instructional Technology Specialist
Krista works with faculty and students to provide planning and support for the use of multimedia technologies at Hamilton College. Krista specializes in graphics support including scanning, printing and the use of graphics software. Krista has a background in graphic arts and her primary support areas include large format printing, digital video editing, and digital image manipulation. Most recently, Krista has become the ITS liaison to the Studio Art Department, working closely with faculty and students in the visual arts to develop the digital arts curriculum and manage the Art Department Digital Lab.
Carl Rosenfield- Instructional Technology Specialist
Carl Rosenfield has been working in the field of Educational Technology since 1999. Most recently he has been focusing on web-enabled learning experiences, effective use of learning content management systems and social software applications such as blogs, wikis and podcasts. Being interested in the synthesis of thought, interaction and technology, Carl hopes to help faculty design outstanding technology-enhanced learning opportunities at Hamilton.
Jim has worked in education for the past ten years and has twelve years experience in the graphics field. He is recognized as an Apple Distinguished Educator. With a background in education, technology, design and production, he takes a practical to approach to technology integration. Jim supervises the Multimedia Interns and Lab Consultants. He is also part of the Multimedia Presentation Center team who manages that facility. Jim primary support areas include graphics, scanning, image manipulation, large format printing, and digital video.
