Leadership Training

Every year, the Office of Diversity and Accessibility identifies new student leaders from a variety of backgrounds and invites them to  a 1-day leadership training session to prepare them for their roles. This session usually takes place in the fall during first-year orientation and covers topics that include Planning Events, Program Assessment, Budget Management, Conducting Meetings, Composing Minutes, Motivating Members, Problem Solving, and Proposal Writing. The training also includes a number of bonding activities, round table discussions, and a ROPES course.
