Faculty Job OpportunitiesScenic DesignHamilton College seeks a Visiting Assistant Professor in Scenic Design beginning in the Fall of 2010. The ideal candidate will have an MFA in Theatre Design, knowledge of computer-based design technologies, and the ability to design in a secondary area (such as Costume Design). Teaching experience as well as professional experience in scenic design, scenic painting, and properties will be considered. Responsibilities include the following: designing scenery for two department productions per year, mentoring student designers, teaching scenic design and two other courses in the candidate’s area of expertise, the execution and instruction of scenic painting, and supervising all properties operations. The ideal candidate must be willing to work closely with undergraduate students.
