2010 Open Enrollment


Welcome to Hamilton's Annual Benefits Open Enrollment for 2010. During this annual open enrollment period, which is Monday, November 2, through Friday, November 13, you have the opportunity to review and change your benefits to meet your needs for the upcoming year. Any changes you request to your enrollments will be effective January 1, 2010.
 
Open enrollment meetings are scheduled for Wednesday, November 4, at 9:30 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. in the Fitness Center Juice Bar. If you have not already signed up, please REGISTER NOW or call Samantha Cavanaugh, ext. 4042.
 
The following list was developed to make it easier for you to know what action(s) you need to take when reviewing the enclosed information. 
 
  • Review the 2010 Benefits Guidebook and Decision Guide on Page 15.
  • Read the 2010 Benefits Information update.
  • Health, Dental, Vision – complete a form only if you desire a change to your current elections OR if you are not enrolled and want to be enrolled. 
  • FSA (Flexible Spending Accounts) – If you want to participate for 2010, you must complete an enrollment form.   
Please keep in mind that after the conclusion of this open enrollment period you may not change your insurance and FSA elections unless you have a qualifying event and the change you are requesting is consistent with the event. Qualifying events include a change in marital status, dependents, residence, or your or your spouse's employment status (for a complete list, please see page 2 of the Benefits Guidebook). If one of these events occur, you must notify Human Resources and complete applicable forms within 30 days of the event or you will not be able to make the change until the next open enrollment period.
