Head Resident Advisors

The Head Resident position was created to lend support to the residential areas of campus that have a lot of RAs and also to provide a liason between the Area Directors of that area and the RA staff. HRAs assist the RAs and also coordinate the development of community in their living area. The HR's main responsibility is to support the staff in the area, advise and supervise programming in the area, and be a leader overall on the RA staff both in the area they work with and also on the whole RA staff. HRA's get the opportunity to be involved closely with staff selection and placement, training, team building, evaluating, and working with maintenance issues. In addition Head RA's assist their supervisor in planning and implementing staff development activities, facilitating fire drills, and maintaining the on-call schedule rotation.

Head Residents are returning RAs who are typically juniors or seniors. There are currently three Head Resident positions. The Head Residents for 2009-2010 are:

Julian Brody - 100 College Hill Road, Bundy East, Bundy West, Skenandoa, Wallace Johnson and Wertimer House  (East Campus)

Stephen Michel - Keehn, Major, McIntosh, Minor and Root (South Campus)

Andrea DeSimone - Dunham (North Campus)
