Dear Families and Members of the Senior Class,
The College’s Commencement exercises are scheduled for Sunday, May 26, 2013 at 10:15 a.m. That may seem like a long way off, but now is the time to make accommodation arrangements for guests coming to the Hill that weekend. Since there is limited availability in the greater Utica area it is important that family and friends reserve hotel rooms as soon as possible.
The College has asked BTI Travel to set aside blocks of rooms at several area motels and hotels.
You and your guests may call Sheryl Crast at BTI Travel (1-877-384-8829) to reserve these rooms on a first-come, first-served basis. Please identify yourself as being with Hamilton College. If you prefer to make your own arrangements or stay at a smaller establishment, you may refer to the accommodations list.
For an alternative to traditional hotel-type accommodations, I invite you to consider the Clinton Bed and Breakfast Program. This program has been in successful operation for many years and benefits the A Better Chance of Clinton program. In addition to the attached form, you may go directly to the ABC web page, and find the registration information under “Upcoming Events”: http://abetterchanceclintonmv.org.
The Commencement ceremony will take place in the Margaret Bundy Scott Field House, which has a greater than 5000 seat capacity. Tickets will not be issued, but we encourage limiting your party to nine guests. For friends and family unable to attend the ceremony, it may also be viewed live on the web at www.hamilton.edu/commencement. Following the ceremony, you and your guests are invited to stay for a complimentary picnic.
On this website you will find a tentative weekend schedule for your information and to assist you with planning. A brochure with the complete Commencement weekend schedule and answers to frequently asked questions will be posted on this site and mailed to seniors and their families in early 2013. If you have questions, please contact me at 315-859-4106 or Email email@example.com. I will be pleased to assist you in any way I can.
