Driving Directions
From the East or West
Those arriving by car from the New York City area, New England or points west of Utica can best reach the College via the New York State Thruway (Interstate 90). After leaving the Thruway at Westmoreland (Exit 32), turn right after the toll booth, and then turn left onto State Route 233 south. Drive 5.2 miles, passing through two traffic lights, until reaching a flashing red light at the intersection of 233 and College Hill Road. Turn right at this intersection and drive up the hill for 0.4 miles. Turn right onto Campus Road to enter the north side of campus.
From the South
(eastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey or other points south)
Follow Interstate 81 through Binghamton, New York, to New York State Route 12, exit 6 off I-81. Follow Route 12 north for approximately 50 miles through the village of Sherburne and turn left onto Route 12-B. Follow Route 12-B north approximately 35 miles. About 3 miles north of the village of Deansboro, turn left onto State Route 233 to the flashing red light at the intersection with College Hill Road. Turn left at the intersection and drive up the hill for 0.4 miles. Turn right onto Campus Road to enter the north side of campus.
Airport Directions
The airport closest to Clinton is Hancock International Airport in Syracuse. There is also a small county airport, but it has very limited service. From Hancock International, take Col. Eileen Collins Blvd. toward Internet 81 South. Cross over I-81 and take the exit ramp on your right to head South. Follow I-81 South for 1.7 miles to the New York Thruway (Interstate 90), at exit 25A. On Exit 25A bear left after the toll booth and head East toward Albany. Follow I-90 approximately 39 miles to Exit 32, Westmoreland (Rt. 233). Refer to the "Driving Directions from the East or West" above to reach Hamilton College from exit 32.
Directions from the Miracle Isle Gaming Resort
Leaving the hotel, take a right onto 31 East. At the first intersection, take a left to continue to follow 31 East and follow into Vernon Center. At the intersection of 26, bear left and take your second left hand turn onto College Hill Road (do not take 26 North). Follow College Hill Road straight down the hill to the College where you will see CLAC signs.
Directions from the Radisson Hotel
Leaving the hotel, take a right onto Genesse Street. Take your second right onto Court Street (major intersection). Get in the left lane. Follow Court Street through two lights (1st at Cornelia and 2nd at State St.). After the second light, take your first left onto Licoln Ave. Follow Lincoln Ave. a short distance and take a right onto Warren Street (Kowalczyk Funeral Home will be on the corner). Make a left onto 5 West/8 South/12 South. Follow 5 West/12 South to 12-B South. Take a left onto 12 B South and follow into Clinton. At the second light in the Village of Clinton (Tony's Pizza is on the left), continue straight onto 412 West which is now College Street. Directions by Rail
For those who wish to come by rail, Amtrak has daily scheduled service to Utica, where taxi service is available to Clinton. Both Greyhound and Trailways offer bus service to Utica. Air service is available to all major American cities via Syracuse, which is 50 minutes from campus, or Albany, which is 1 1/2 hours from campus.
