Bon Appétit's heritage is catering. Beginning in 1987 as a San Francisco based catering company, we quickly expanded into an onsite custom restaurant company taking with us the earmarks of our catering expertise.

Bon Appétit is a restaurant company offering full food service management by providing café and catering service to corporations, universities, and specialty venues. We have clients in twenty two states and have over 8,000 employees. We have been in business since 1987 and have seen our revenues grow from $5 million to over $275 million.

We promote the well being of our café guests by:

• Using food that is fresh, whole and prepared in a way that is healthy and nutritious
• Purchasing produce that is locally grown, seasonal and minimally processed
• Creating menus that include an abundance of fruits, vegetables, legumes and grains
• Training our staff in techniques that insure we are serving a safe product
   

We promote the well being of our regional community by:

• Purchasing from regional food producers and artisans
• Boycotting purveyors that do not support farmworkers' rights in regards to working and living conditions
• Contributing to local food banks
• Encouraging internships from local schools
• Hiring diverse local culinary talents
• Refusing any interest or investments in correctional or prison facilities
   

We promote the well being of our environment by:

• Making responsible purchasing decisions that preserve healthy fish supplies
• Offering options of fair trade, shade grown and organic coffees
• Serving as a beta-test site for biodegradable disposables made from renewable sources
• Recycling aluminum, glass and plastics where ever possible
