However, the College is not immune to critical incidents, and strives to plan and prepare for them through written plans and protocols, training, effective communication strategies, and regular meetings of the Hamilton Emergency Response Team (HERT). A broader group, the Hamilton Incident Management Team (HIMT), is composed of additional senior staff and other essential personnel with overall administrative and managerial responsibility for the College during emergency incidents.
